What Is Occupational Health?
Occupational health is a specialty that looks at the effect of work on an employees’ health. Occupational health reduces sickness absences, helping employees return to work and supporting them to maintain good performance and attendance. Often early intervention and health assessments can avoid future problems.
An occupational health nurse’s aim is to help keep your employees healthy, focusing on the physical and mental wellbeing of the employees in the workplace, identify and help prevent illness caused by work, advise on fitness and to improve and maintain the health of your employees.

Employees identified with abnormal results will be advised to contact their GP for further assessment, allowing potential health issues to be addressed early. Each employee will receive the results of the assessment.
